Construction + Parking Update

Dear Beaver Community,

As the first day of school approaches, we want to share an update on the construction currently happening on Woodland Road and how it will affect parking.

NO PARKING ON WOODLAND ROAD:

Thursday, September 8

Friday, September 9

              Wednesday, September 14

              Thursday, September 15

September 8 + 9

Due to the construction, there will be absolutely no parking on Woodland Road. If the Beaver lot is full, Beaver community members can park on Laurel Road. Please note that Laurel Road parking is only allowed during this roadwork project. On these two days, three inches of milling will occur which means the road will be drivable but bumpy. Please proceed with caution. There will be crew members and extra police details directing traffic. Drivers can access Laurel Road from Woodland Road or Hammond Street.

September 14 + 15

Paving will take place on both days. Again, there will be absolutely no parking on Woodland Road, but you may park on Laurel Road. To accommodate the ability to exit our lot on both days, paving will be split into two days. On September 14, drivers will be able to turn left out of our parking lot (paving will take place from Heath Street to our exit). On September 15, drivers will be able to turn right when exiting our parking lot (paving will take place from our exit to Hammond Street on this day). Brookline Department of Public Works proposed this plan to limit disruptions and also allow time for the asphalt to set.

WOODLAND ROAD PARKING RULES

All other days

On all other days aside from the above dates, we can park along Woodland Road in our approved area: turn right out of the Beaver parking lot and park on the right side of the road along Upper Field (do not park in front of, or within 10 feet of fire hydrants). No other section of Woodland is allowed and parking on Laurel Road is not allowed.

⚠️ The town will ticket cars parked in other areas. As a reminder, all streets in Brookline have a 2-hour parking limit, even if there are no signs.

BVR PARKING PERMITS

As we mentioned previously, all Beaver community members who drive to campus will be required to display a Beaver Parking Permit on their car(s). These will be segmented by grade and distributed at the start of school. With parking on campus being a finite resource, knowing how many and who our drivers are throughout the year is critical to our planning.

Thank you for your continued support!
