ACTION: SCHOOLMESSENGER TEXT BROADCAST SYSTEM

SMS Text "Yes" Opt-In to 67587

Our school utilizes the SchoolMessenger system to deliver text messages, straight to your mobile phone with important information about events, school closings, safety alerts and more.

If you haven't already done so, we highly encourage you to opt-in by sending a text message of “Y” or “Yes” to our school’s short code number, 67587. (You can also opt out of these messages at any time by simply replying to one of our messages with “Stop”.)

We recommend saving this short code and Caller ID to the contacts on your phone. This will help prevent any 3rd party call blocking systems from interfering with your receipt of important messages sent by the school or district.

SchoolMessenger is compliant with the Student Privacy PledgeTM, so you can rest assured that your information is safe and will never be given or sold to anyone. Learn more here.

PARENT NIGHT TOMORROW

Mercy Parent Night will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, August 28 from 6:15pm to 8:30pm. The evening offers a unique glimpse into your daughter’s daily Mercy experience. You will have the opportunity to walk through her schedule and meet each of her teachers as they share their course plans with you.

For the evening to run smoothly, we will begin our schedule promptly at 6:30pm and ask that you be in your student’s Adviser Room at 6:15pm. The Adviser will have materials for you including your student’s current schedule and a school map. If you have more than one daughter attending Mercy, please stop into both Adviser Rooms to get each student schedule. You may then determine which classes to visit during the evening.

A list of Adviser names and room numbers is available here. We will start promptly at 6:30pm with an opening prayer and welcome announcement over the PA and class rotations beginning with first hour at 6:45pm, so our 6:30pm start time is critical to ensure ending the evening on schedule.

Kairos Retreat

The Class of 2025 is invited to attend a Kairos retreat during their Senior year. The word Kairos is a Greek word which means "God's time" or "an opportune time." This retreat has a rich tradition at Mercy, and in November, we will celebrate Mercy's 79th Kairos retreat! We stand on the shoulders of thousands of Mercy girls who have come before us who have attended this retreat. We are proud to continue this sacred tradition.

We welcome ALL Seniors to attend regardless of their religion or where they are on their faith journey. Kairos is a four day retreat Tuesday-Friday.

An initial sign up form will be emailed to Seniors tomorrow, Wednesday, August 28. Please direct any questions to Mary Kate Becker at mkbecker@mhsmi.org.
