New Tools for Chromebook Assistance
We are working on adding a new feature to our Internet content filter to assist teachers and students with digital wellness and focus in the classroom.

These new features allow teachers greater access to send content and give feedback directly to student computers while in the classroom. It also allows teachers to monitor websites that students have open, share and observe their screen, and restrict access for a limited time during their class.

We believe this tool will both help student instruction and feedback while providing support to balance and focus.

We also want to make clear what limitations are in place. These new features are only activated on computers when students are signed into their school account and during the school day.

We plan to work with teachers and make this available for use in our Middle School and High School classrooms over the next several weeks and will be available at the elementary level in limited and guided uses.
Upcoming Performances
Bexley Theatre Arts Middle School Play "Space Princess Wars" opens tonight at 7:30 p.m. in the Cassingham Theatre. There will also be performances Saturday and Sunday. Get tickets here.
The Bexley High School Orchestra will perform a concert beginning at 6:00 p.m. this evening in the Schottenstein Theatre.

A Call for Substitutes
We are still searching for qualified substitute teachers and classified staff members.

Our substitute teacher pay rate is now $150 a day.

Any substitute teachers currently subbing through the Educational Service Center (ESCCO), can email substitute@escco.org to request to be a substitute at Bexley City Schools.

If you are not a current sub teacher through the ESCCO, you can easily apply to become one! You need to hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in any subject and complete the application process through the ESCCO. The application and the four steps to becoming a substitute can be found here: https://www.escco.org/Stepstobecomeasubstitute.aspx. We understand the sign-up process is lengthy. Please contact the district if you have questions or need help.

We are also looking for classified substitutes (custodians, cooks, secretaries, etc.).

If you are interested in becoming a substitute for one of these positions, please email Karla Croswell (karla.croswell@bexley.us) or call the district office (614-231-7611).
