A new program for teen girls on the autism spectrum, who enjoy arts and crafts and want to connect with other teen girls on the spectrum, who have similar interests.

An online support group for adults with autism to share successes and concerns, give and receive support, and be a part of a community that understands.
Reminder: Final Chance to Apply for iPad Grant
Don’t forget - Digital Sparks has provided Autism Society Greater Cincinnati two iPads to help non-verbal individuals with autism spectrum disorder. The purpose of this grant is to help nonverbal children or adults with an autism spectrum disorder who are in need of an iPad for communication or educational support. The iPads will include the TouchChat app, a full-featured communication solution for individuals who have difficulty using their natural voice.  
 
To apply, email info@autismcincy.org. Applications must be postmarked or emailed by Friday, August 20, to be considered.  
Support ASGC at the 2021 Flying Pig Events
ASGC is once again partnering with the Flying Pig as a charity partner for the 2021 Flying Pig events, October 29 – 31. Because we are an official charity partner, friends of ASGC are eligible for a special code to receive 25% off of online registration for the Pig events! 

In addition, any registered participants can fundraise on ASGC’s behalf, and 100% of funds raised will go directly to support our programs and services.

Update on In-Person Programming
We had hoped to be able to return to in-person programming this fall, but given the rise in COVID cases in our area, we have made the tough decision to continue with virtual programming for the near future.

PROGRAM SPOTLIGHT
Crafting Club - Saturday, August 21
Crafting Club is back this Saturday, August 21, from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. for teens 13-17 on the autism spectrum. Join us to make a fun back-to-school pretty pencil holder and pencils. Please register in advance to receive a link and passcode.  
 
Here’s this week’s supply list: 1 Tin soup can, white paint, 4-5 bottles of nail polish colors, 3-4 unsharpened/plain (not decorated) pencils, washi or masking tape, markers, and a bowl with water deep enough to dip the can and pencils. Go ahead and paint your tin can white and allow to dry before joining Crafting Club on Saturday!
