Yale University Art Gallery presents Fazal Sheikh: Exposures, showcasing the work of Fazal Sheikh, an American artist who combines aerial landscape photography with portraits to illustrate the human impact of environmental racism. The landscapes, which are almost abstract, juxtapose with the intensely personal portraits of human subjects, connecting the land to the people who inhabit it. The gallery is open Tuesday to Friday, 10 a.m.— 5 p.m., Thursday 10 a.m. — 8 p.m., and Saturday to Sunday, 11 a.m. — 5 p.m. Yale University Art Gallery is located at 1111 Chapel Street, New Haven, CT. The Current presents Exposed 2022, which features the work of nine artists in an outdoor sculpture exhibit sprawling across the streets of Stowe, VT. One piece on display is Rob Hitzig's "Dream Home Dream" which invites viewers to engage with the piece, covering it in chalk markings. He exhibits alongside sculptor Judith Wrend, whose kinetic works made from industrial materials catch the sun and the eye along the streets of the town. Delicate, winding lines arranged in patterns that evoke images of the natural patterns are highlighted with ephemeral pops of color. Webb's work weaves print and drawing to create a larger whole.
