CBTE 2023 gathering at CBExchange to be held this fall
The annual gathering on competency-based theological education—CBTE 2023—will be held during the CBExchange conference, October 3 to 6, 2023, at the Omni Amelia Island Resort in Florida. Registration is open to anyone who would like to learn more about competency-based education and CBTE. SABBATH documentary explores benefits of rest in 24/7 world
“I never had a right understanding of the Sabbath. I never thought much about it. I never applied it to my life. All that came to me only recently and I’ve been a pastor for 34 years,” admitted Jeffrey A. Johnson, senior pastor of Eastern Star Baptist Church in Indianapolis. Diversity tool created to help ATS member schools with racial and ethnic work
Jodi L. Porter, director of coordination at the Forum for Theological Exploration, developed a tool in response to feedback from ATS member schools that participated in the ATS Cultivating Educational Capacity Initiative. Porter discusses why she created the tool and how schools can use it in their particular contexts in the spring 2023 issue of In Trust magazine and a recent ATS-hosted webinar.
Chaplaincy Innovation Lab to host free webinar
The Chaplaincy Innovation Lab is hosting a "Field Guide for Aspiring Chaplains" webinar Monday, May 1, 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. ET, sponsored by the Carpenter Foundation and a coalition of theological schools.
