A Message from Pastor Tom

The importance of a gift is known only through the eyes of the receiver. We never authentically understand how an act of compassion, a word of forgiveness, a laboring when another cannot touch the human heart. Perhaps more importantly, we never fully understand how those seemingly small gestures reflect and witness the image of Christ.

But what of the Church? What gifts do we carry to the world? Each action we take, each service we provide, each prayer raised only a reflection of the greatest gift we can offer as the Church of Jesus Christ. But, what is that greatest gift?

The greatest gift we can offer is the gift of a real relationship. Touching another with compassion, not sympathy; walking a journey with another not running ahead.

The mission of the Church is to build and nurture relationships. Relationships that open hearts to God’s grace; relationships that make Christ present beyond the walls of the sanctuary.

Blessings,
Pastor Tom

Bible Study Returns
The Gospel of Mark is a masterful retelling of the Good News of Jesus Christ. Cast in simple yet profoundly meaningful language, the Gospel calls us all to reconsider what it means to be a disciple of Jesus Christ. Join us as we journey through the Gospel of Mark. In a relaxed small group atmosphere, we will consider Mark’s primary messages, his use of humor and irony to reveal Jesus’ mission, and the Gospel’s unexpected conclusion. Both sessions will last for eight weeks. All are welcome to attend. Please contact Pastor Tom with any questions. Preregistration is not required.

Evenings, Wednesdays, 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Daytime, Thursdays, 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
