NAAE at the National Policy Seminar

NAAE supported 15 individuals from across the nation to take part in a three-day advocacy event as part of over 400 career and technical (CTE) professionals that attended the ACTE National Policy Seminar March 19-22 in Arlington, VA. During the event, NAAE hosted a workshop for agricultural educators that focused on advocating for local, state, and national agricultural education programs. Participants also attended briefing sessions on the latest news in education policy and met with policy makers on Capitol Hill to educate them about the value of CTE learners for their state.

Unlock the Potential of the Month:

April is always the midway point where summer break feels so close but so far. The Spring season brings so much joy but also so much busyness. How do you stay organized amidst the chaos? To-Do lists seem to do the trick! Did you know that there are applications and websites out there that you can create To-Do lists and assign tasks to other people? GAME CHANGER! Delegate those tasks to your leadership team and members with a simple click of a button. These could even be used in a classroom setting as a checklist of items students need to have in notebooks, assignments left to be completed, etc. The possibilities are endless with the To-Do list websites and applications! Check out a list of options to get yourself started here.

Combination to Happiness:

As the April Showers are bringing on the blooms of Spring, read a book to grow your mind this month. This book could be for leisure or for growing as a professional. Reading improves our focus, memory, empathy, and communication skills. Reading assists in reducing stress and improving our overall mental health.
