RASCW Minority Scholarship
For over 20 years, RASCW, through the Affordable Housing & Equal Opportunities Committee, has supported diversity in the real estate industry with the Minority Scholarship. This program was developed to help achieve an increase in minority real estate practitioners by providing financial assistance and support to minorities who are interested in pursuing a career in real estate – recipients receive nearly $1,500 in waived start up fees and dues.
Click here for more information about the scholarship, including application instructions and testimonials from some past recipients about how the scholarship impacted their path to a career in real estate. WRA Legislative Priorities and Why REALTORS® Invest in RPAC
The REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), the real estate professional's mechanism for political action, makes a significant and positive impact on our industry and communities every year. During the last legislative session, the WRA lobbied the Wisconsin legislature to help cut property taxes by $650 million, providing $300 in property tax relief for the typical homeowner. In addition, the state budget maintained strict levy limits on how much local governments and technical colleges can charge property owners to pay for local services. This is just one example of how RPAC can make a real difference in REALTORS®' lives and businesses, and what investing in RPAC can help make happen.
Click here or the video above to hear why fellow Wisconsin REALTORS® have chosen to invest in RPAC, and here for an outline of the WRA 2022 Legislative Report and current priorities, including broadband expansion and a framework for homeowners associations, and to make a contribution to RPAC.
