Cory Morrow and Holly Beth Close Out the Summer Concert Series
Sure, we were all looking forward to that other band opening on Saturday.
Bands make plans. Plans fall through. It happens.

But, as my grandpa told me as a youngster, "When life throws you lemons, you should eat them." Scurvy frightened my grandpa.

It was a different time.

For the rest of us it's time to come on out to Market Square on Saturday, June 25 to listen and dance to Holly Beth. She’s great. Then, just when you’ve cooled off and hydrated, you can get down with Texas legend Cory Morrow. The Summer Concert Series Finale is the premier music event in Cleburne this weekend. You don't want to miss it.

As always, we're cooler friendly, family friendly, and food trucks will be onsite.

Be there. On the Square.

Like murder mysteries?
Take a stab at this one
If you like solving puzzles, looking for clues, and trying to find out whodunit, this escape room is for you! You and your team have 1 hour to discover who committed a murder, how they did it, and why. Report your findings to the inspector before time runs out.

Party in the Park. Foam Style.
Foam party essentials:

Foam.

Towel.

Swimsuit.

We'll bring the bubbles. You bring the rest. Plus, a little extra to buy ... waffles. Duh.

Cause sometimes, you just don't want to walk all the way from Hulen Park to Splash Station.

Monday, June 27, from 4-6pm. Don't miss it.
Don't Miss the Senior Expo

It's Too Hot for Long Sleeves
Cut ‘em off.

If you can't take the heat, then take a reasonably priced Cleburne t-shirt from one of our museums. The Railroad and the Layland Museums have gifts galore, plus a selection of Cleburne t-shirts! If not now, when?

It’ll probably be hot for a while, so you’ve likely got time.

But why wait?

Visit the Railroad and the Layland Museums now.

Illegal to Discharge Fireworks
The Cleburne Fire Marshal’s office would like to remind our residents and guests that it is illegal to discharge fireworks within the city limits of Cleburne (IFC 5601.1.3). Fireworks are known to start house fires by landing on roofs and in yards. A class C misdemeanor ticket can be issued to anyone found in possession of and/or using fireworks.

For your enjoyment, the annual Cleburne Chamber of Commerce 4th of July celebration will be held at Lake Pat Cleburne, with the fireworks show scheduled to begin at dark. Thank you for your support, and please be safe during the upcoming holiday.
Tom Hanks Believed. Now You Can Too.
This week the Library's Summer Reading Program includes a, yes, this is happening, Mermaid Storytime. And, a terrarium program for the youngsters.

For everyone else, there is a beat the heat foam party at Hulen Park (maybe you've heard about it) and a Pixar gem being shown in the cool A/C of the Library.

If you're looking for more things to do this month, check out what's happening at the Library:

Meet the Pet of the Week
I’m Pink and I’m the pet of the week!

Let me list some reasons why you need a fur baby like me in your life!

1) I am a giant goofball and I promise to always make you laugh, especially when I get excited and I began to “trot”.

2) I will give you an unnecessary amount of hugs and kisses whether you want them or not

3) I want to be your best friend and stay with you at all times, I’m also a great vacuum cleaner for the food messes you or I may help create.

Sadly, I am heartworm positive, but with that being said the shelter has decided to pay for my treatment just as long as my new family can get me to my appointments.

Come meet me and you’ll fall in love!
