Welcome to Philadelphia!

After three long years, we're finally together again, and we're thrilled to welcome our attendees, presenters, award-winners, volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, advertisers, and guests to Philadelphia and the 2022 Association of Jewish Libraries conference! We're sure that you'll find the next three days educational, enriching, entertaining, and fun. Here are some final reminders before the conference begins tomorrow.

Socio App. Remember to download the Socio app to your phone or personal device (see full instructions below). Socio takes the place of a printed program book and has everything you need to navigate the conference:

  • full and up-to-date schedule
  • speakers and bios
  • program handouts
  • ways to connect with other attendees (Discussion Board and Messages)
  • and more!

Be sure to check Socio frequently throughout the conference and allow app notifications so we can send schedule changes and other announcements to your device in real time.

Registration. The registration desk opens at 8:30 am tomorrow. Bring proof of vaccination with you! After checking in, browse the Exhibit Hall and visit the museum store, both open at 10:00 am.

Enjoying the Museum.

  • Badges. Conference badges must be worn at all times when in the museum.
  • Food and drink. No outside food is allowed in the museum. Meals and coffee breaks will take place in the third floor dining area, the only place in the museum where food will be served. All beverage containers (water bottles, coffee cups) must have lids. No food or drink is permitted in the theater at any time.
  • Masking at the Sarah Aroeste concert. Please note that masks are required in the theater during Monday evening's Sarah Aroeste concert.

Conference Kick-Off. First-time attendees will pick up valuable tips at the Newcomer's Welcome (10:00 am). The conference opens with lunch and the keynote address, "Jewish Publishing in America," delivered by Dr. Ellen Frankel (11:00 am).

It's so good to be together again!
