Inquirer’s Class with Jonah and Kathleen

Sunday afternoons from 4:00 – 5:00 p.m.

July 10, 17, 24, 31

Have you ever wondered…What’s an Anglican? How did the Episcopal Church come about, and how is it different from other denominations? What is going on up at the altar during the service? What’s the right way to pray? How are the scriptures relevant to our lives today? How does St. Thomas make a difference in our community?

Join Jonah and Kathleen for a thought-provoking conversation addressing these questions and more. This class is for everyone who would like to learn more about Christian faith and practice, the Episcopal Church, or would like to be confirmed or

received at our Bishop’s next visit.

July 10: Anglican Ethos and Church History

July 18: Worship and Sacraments

July 24: Scripture

Partnership in Creation

The Rev. Jonah Kendall

And suddenly there was a great earthquake; for an angel of the Lord, descending from heaven, came and rolled back the stone and sat on it.

(Matthew 28:2)

Matthew’s account of Christ’s resurrection includes the earth’s participation in the glorification of God.  Please join Jonah on Sunday, June 26th to consider our relationship with the creation and the partnership that God invites us to welcome as we not only care for creation, but join in it celebrating God’s gift of life to us all.

Church Database Update

Over the past several months, the database of all church members has been slowly migrated from an older program to a new online platform called REALM.

If you have received an “invitation” email to join Realm, I hope you will respond to this email and create an account for yourself online. If you have NOT received such an email, it would indicate that we do not have membership paperwork for you in the office. A membership form can be emailed to you and you can return it to the church after you fill it out.

You can now access REALM directly from our website (stthomassv.org). On the lower taskbar there is a selection called “member login” Just click on that and you will be directed to the St. Thomas REALM site.

We hope that this new system will prove useful to you.

If you have any questions about Realm, please contact Judi in the office. 208-726-5349 or jfuller@stthomassv.org
