JCCGCI Annual Report Spotlights
Expansive Community Services
Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) announced the release of their Annual Report for 2021, detailing the vast array of services that the organization provided throughout New York City last year.

Since its founding 49 years ago in 1973, the Jewish Community Council of Greater Coney Island (JCCGCI) has become a hub for community-based programming throughout the five boroughs. Social services, support for small and emerging nonprofits, combatting gun violence, homecare and transportation for frail elderly, workforce development, after-school programming, management of senior centers and home-delivered meals programs are just some of the plethora of projects that JCCGCI operates.

JCCGCI's Annual Report provides a snapshot of the achievements of each of their five divisions - Senior Support Systems, Vocational Support Systems, Educational Support Systems, Community Support Systems, and Management Support Systems (also known as the NonProfit HelpDesk).

"Every day, our highly dedicated, expert staff devote their efforts to helping New York's most vulnerable populations," said Rabbi Moshe Wiener, Executive Director of the JCCGCI. "We are so grateful to have the opportunity to provide life-changing aid to the diverse clientele that we serve throughout the city."

In recent years, the JCCGCI has seen demand for its services explode, particularly in the wake of COVID-19 and the resulting crises. JCCGCI has stepped up to offer an ever-expanding array of resources to a community and a city still very much recovering from disaster.

"During this rough time, I feel that someone cares and someone is out there,” said Cyla S., who receives home-delivered meals from the JCCGCI. “I receive the meals and I am very appreciative. What more can you ask for?”

JCCGCI's expansive presence across the city ensures the ability to provide carefully tailored services that meet the unique local needs of every community. Its ever-growing impact is evidenced in the extensive metrics detailed in the Annual Report.
