USMS-Sponsored Try Masters Swimming
Month of July
Everyone knows that swimming is one of the best exercises for health and fitness. While we should be promoting Masters Swimming all year, July is the month that we focus on bringing others along to Try Masters Swimming. Have your family, friends, co-workers and neighbors been commenting on your trim physique or extra stamina? It is time to invite them to experience all the benefits of our sport.
Try Masters Swimming is everyone's chance to try at least two (2) FREE workouts at participating clubs nationwide during the month of July. For current members, this is a chance to bring a friend into the wonderful world of swimming.
Bring a new recruit to your pool to find out about Masters Swimming, let us know, and we will send you a Pacific Masters swim cap with the new logo on it. For your new cap, submit your information at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RSYFFQB (They do not have to join - just bring them to your club once).
Throughout July, many clubs are making a special effort to grow Pacific Masters and USMS. For a list of clubs that are offering two free workouts, click USMS Try Masters Swimming.

2022 FINA World Championships
Budapest, Hungary
June 18 - July 3
Showcasing the aquatic sports at their finest, the 19th FINA World Championships is now being held in beautiful Budapest, Hungary. Also known as the World Aquatics Championships, these Champs include all the aquatics sports: Swimming, Diving, High Diving, Open Water Swimming, Artistic Swimming, and Water Polo.
The Artistic Swimming and pool competitions both concluded last Saturday, June 25. World records were broken and there were some surprising upsets as the best in the world challenged each other.
The events have not been without drama. A special honor, and commendation, is deserved for USA Artistic Swimming Coach, Andrea Fuentes, for her quick-thinking, heroic act of saving her swimmer, Anita Alvarez, after Anita fainted during her routine. Well done, Andrea!
Still on-going are the Diving competitions, Open Water, and Water Polo. We are proud to say that the United States is leading in the medal category, as of now. All the races have been recorded.
Click onto the FINA website for the schedules and results, and here for videos of your favorite events.
