The Franco-Flemish Legacy

Come hear a unique program of music from around 1500, performed on period instruments. The region which now consists of the Netherlands, Belgium, and northern France was the European epicenter for musical composition. The Franco-Flemish masters were so skilled that most European courts preferred to hire them over the local or regional musicians.

This program includes music by both these masters and native musicians that they influenced in English, Italian, and German courts. Ensemble 1500 utilizes reeds, brass, and recorder consorts, as well as combinations of those groups.

a mutually acceptable arrangement
with the contractor to replace the
original floor with an upgraded
mosaic flake product.

8 a.m. Lakeside UMC (Henrico) Pickup—Arrive at Lakeside by 7:30 a.m.
Return to Richmond around 10 p.m. 
Cost of the Trip $157 – Payment due as soon as possible.

United Methodist Women Meeting

The next UMW meeting will be at Leah Hundley's home on September 15 at 1:00 pm. Lunch will be provided. Rev. Tim Gerde, our Coordinator of Older Adult Ministries, will speak on the ways to include shut-in members, and how we can help. All are invited.
