Assistant Professor of Media Studies (Tenure-Eligible)
The Department of Communication Studies at Northwestern University seeks to hire an Assistant Professor in the area of media studies with an appointment beginning September 1, 2023. 
We are seeking candidates with expertise in the qualitative study of media that includes, but is not limited to, the application of humanistic, rhetorical, cultural, and visual analytic methods; issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion; gender and sexuality; disability; intersectionality; media history, theory, aesthetics, rhetoric, technologies, systems, and institutions; power, political representation, identity, advocacy, and activism; a focus on the Global South; and an interest in public scholarship and social impact.
