Ray-Pec community,
I want to give you an update of tonight's Board meeting that recently concluded. Tonight the Board voted 4-1 in favor of continuing our face covering requirement. Due to an uncertainty about the applicability of a recent change in state law, the Board required five (5) votes to continue a mask mandate at this time. Therefore, at the current time, there is no longer a face covering requirement for students to attend school.
Face coverings on our school buses are still required per a federal requirement.
We urge all of our students to continue to wear a face mask while indoors and unable to physically distance, as that is one of the best ways to prevent student and staff quarantines.
