Dear CIM students and friends,

We’re grateful that good weather has allowed our students and instructors to share music in the beautiful outdoor spaces at the Celtic Junction Arts Center. Whether gathering for ensemble meetings, sessions, or social events, this time together has been a joyful experience. Now, as the leaves begin to change and we wait for the cold to settle in, we’re looking forward to the many opportunities to stay in touch with our students, volunteers, donors, and friends over the coming months.

Our virtual group classes are in full swing, with even more out-of-town students joining the Center for Irish Music community. Several new classes are starting soon, including the just-added Singing Irish Songs at Home class for ages 4-6, happening Tuesdays from 5:30-6:00pm. Click the links below to register!

Many of our instructors have returned to in-person teaching, and we're taking every precaution to ensure that we can continue to meet safely. Visit the Students page of our website for up-to-date information on our COVID-19 protocols, as well as student announcements and resources.

Finally, mark your calendars for all the upcoming concerts and events that are happening both in person and online, including a not-to-be-missed concert on October 16th by Dáithí Sproule and The Lost Forty, presented by the Minnesota Guitar Society and sponsored by the Center for Irish Music. Details are below, but be sure to watch your email and follow our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts for the latest CIM news and event updates.

Due to logistical challenges, the Pints & Polkas event scheduled for October 8th has been cancelled, but you can still get your fill of Irish tunes that evening.

Some of our instructors and friends have been attending the regular Friday night session at The Dubliner on October 8th starting at 6pm. Bring your instrument and join in, or sit back, relax, and enjoy the tunes. Then, stick around for a concert by the Two Tap Trio (Norah Rendell, Mary Vanorny and Brian Miller) from 8:30pm-11:30pm. If weather permits, the music will be outside.
