This Weekend Is Loaded With Auctions
I got an email from John Athayde at PatchVault at couple of day ago. Here is the summary to share. Over the past year and change, we've rolled out cataloging for OA Sections/Areas/Regions, Camps, and Councils (CSPs only to start). Similar to the OA rollout, we encourage editors to volunteer for areas where they are either collectors or somehow officially related to the entity in question.
I have long advocated for resources like Patchvault that help inspire collectors to learn more. This has been a volunteer led effort since the beginning. In his email they also put out a call for donations. I know that it costs me thousands of dollars per year to host my email service, website, podcast etc. I see Patchvault as something that is built for all of us to use and hopefully folks will step up to support them.
Another great resource to give a shout out too is one I'll be using this week! Check out NOAC Patch Guide which has updated images of all this years issues. This one I know is a team as well led by Adam McDaniel. I am going to use their website PDF builder to make myself a handy guide for trading today.
I have been scaling down my auctions in anticipation of the NOAC wave. You can find 50 auctions I've got ending today that feature SAPS, council patches and camps.
Tomorrow I've got to leave the house by 4:30 AM to make it to the airport. But don't feel sorry for me some of my lodge brothers are leaving their house at midnight to make it all the way to the airport! We are ready for NOAC. I hope to see many of you there!
