November 2022

New SCM Home Page Coming Soon

The Supply Chain Management home page will soon have a new streamlined look and feel! Beginning Monday, Nov. 14, visitors to our home page will find:

-- simplified drop-down menu options,

-- timely messages on current issues, hot topics and upcoming events, and,

-- easier-to-find staff and unit contact information.

Helpful information on our systems will be accessible from the home page, and Repro Graphics’ online ordering platform, AggiePrint, will be added to the suite.

These changes primarily affect the home page, not the internal content of the website. In the coming weeks we’ll be refining the home page content in an effort to help our clients quickly and easily locate their desired information. We welcome your feedback in this process at scmcomms@ucdavis.edu.

SCM Spotlight: Michael Sandoval, Central Storehouse Storekeeper

There's a lot going in and out of the Central Storehouse -- compressed gas cylinders, tax-free alcohol, COVID-related PPE items and more. It's Michael Sandoval's job to oversee all those important products. But Michael has a lot of experience in multi-tasking. Before taking on the role of Senior Storekeeper, he was part of the Supply Chain Management Special Services team.

Food Drive in Full Swing, Toy Drive Up Next

The annual Mail Services Food Drive continues through Friday, Nov. 18, both on campus and at UC Davis Health. Make a donation of non-perishable food and other essentials to benefit the ASUCD Food Bank and the Food Bank at UC Davis Health.

Pictured above is AggieSurplus Student Assistant Luke posing with some of the 200 pounds of donations gathered during AggieSurplus In-Store Shopping last week. Thank you, shoppers!

And mark your calendars for the annual Mail Services Toys for Tots Drive, which runs Nov. 28-Dec. 9.

Drop new, unwrapped toys in one of the blue bins throughout campus or place them in your outgoing mail. Donations benefit Yolo County children in need.

We appreciate your support of our community!

Procure-to-Pay Demo Series Coming Soon

In a recent letter to the campus, Vice Chancellor Clare Shinnerl announced that the go-live date of Aggie Enterprise has been extended to January 2024 to allow more time for user acceptance testing, end-user training, and change management activities.

In support of these efforts, in the coming months Supply Chain Management will be holding monthly demonstrations on the various modules within Aggie Enterprise that support processes such as catalog and non-catalog purchasing, supplier record management, invoicing, and payments. Our hope is to provide an ongoing forum to showcase the current iteration of the solutions for all who wish to see it. It is encouraged to continue attending each subsequent month, as we will dive into different aspects of each workstream and highlight what aspects of the processes have been further refined by the project team. Demonstrations of these processes will be followed by an opportunity to provide feedback on the current version of the modules and a quick assessment of how the solutions meet your business needs.

The dates and times of the demos will be scheduled in the next several weeks and announced on our website and via the Procure-Info e-mail list. Subscribe here.
