Join us for the NEA Big Read: The Best We Could Do
Have you heard? We've partnered with Eastern CT State University and other local libraries to celebrate the Asian community as part of the NEA Big Read. Join us this fall for a variety of programs for all ages. We invite teens and adults to stop by either of our physical locations for your free copy of The Best We Could Do: An Illustrated Memoir by Thi Bui (while supplies last).

Miss Nicole reads The Three Little Tamales by Eric A. Kimmel

In celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, Miss Nicole will be reading a Hispanic twist on an old favorite: THE THREE LITTLE TAMALES by Eric A. Kimmel. The storytime will be available as an on-demand YouTube video starting on October 4th.
Opera Talk: Boris Godunov

Modest Mussorgsky spent almost all his professional life either in the Russian military or civil service. His output was small, much was left unfinished and very few public performances took place during his lifetime. “Boris” is his only completed operatic work and although it only received a handful of performances at first, today it is considered one of the greatest operas to come out of Russia. Jeffrey Engel will explore Mussorgsky’s tragic life and play excerpts from “Boris Godunov." For Adults.

Gentle Yoga with Pia Oliveri
