Jefferson County Launches 'YourJeffco' Mobile App
Reporting a pothole, flooded/washed out road, downed tree, graffiti, or scores of other issues is now as simple as pulling out a smartphone. Jefferson County is excited to announce the implementation of YourJeffco, a new website and app that enables residents, visitors, and business owners to report issues and concerns about roads and bridges maintained by Jefferson County. Please note, YourJeffco applies to roads in unincorporated Jeffco (outside of city limits).

JSX Kicks Off Charter Service at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport
On Aug. 4, JSX kicked off its charter jet service at Rocky Mountain Metropolitan Airport (RMMA) in Broomfield. They now offer publicly available nonstop flights on 30-seat jets from RMMA to Burbank, CA and Dallas, TX. JSX operates approximately eight additional daily operations at RMMA with hop-on jet service that allows customers to enjoy a seamless travel experience without the crowds, lines and hassles associated with congested airport terminals. Celebrate National Public Lands Day with Jeffco Open Space
Celebrate National Public Lands Day by helping clean 22 miles of the Peaks to Plains Trail including Clear Creek Canyon Park and portions of the US Highway 6 canyon corridor. Afterwards, celebrate at the new Gateway Trailhead with food trucks, live music, and a raffle for prizes. Registration is required.

Vaccines for Six Months and Older Now Available
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) gave its official recommendation for all children ages 6 months and older to be vaccinated against COVID-19. On June 21, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) updated its standing orders for the state to allow medical professionals to begin vaccinating the youngest members of our population. This means COVID-19 vaccines are available and strongly recommended for all Coloradans ages six months and older.

Parents: Talk With Teens About Overdose
In Jefferson County high schools, one in eight seniors and juniors report having used a prescription drug not prescribed to them. Because fake pills contaminated with fentanyl look identical to "real" pills, teens may not realize the risk they are taking when they use pills from other people. Often the person supplying the pill doesn't even know it's contaminated. Want to help your child stay safe? Talk with your teen about overdose.

American Rescue Plan Information for Jefferson County Residents
Jefferson County was awarded $113 million in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds that must be spent by Dec. 2026. Visit the Funding and Guidance page for more on the funds that came to Jeffco as well as use guidance from the U.S. Treasury.

Rather than just focusing on emergency needs, ARPA’s federal government guidelines allows funding to support families and businesses, maintain vital public services, and build a strong, resilient, and equitable future. A new ARPA dashboard is coming soon.
TRIAD Senior Safety Meeting - Learn About 2022 Legislation
The TRIAD guest speaker on Aug. 23 will be Rich Mauro, Policy Analyst for the Denver Metro Area Agency on Aging. He will be reviewing legislation from the 2022 session, that affects older adults, and what might be coming in the 2023 session. August is Child Abuse Awareness Month
It's estimated that one in four children needs the assistance of Child Support Services. The goal of Colorado's Child Support Program is to ensure children receive financial support and medical coverage from each parent. Child Support does this by locating parents, establishing paternity and support obligations, modifying court orders, and enforcing these obligations. Arvada's 97th Annual Harvest Festival Parade Taking New Route in 2022
The Arvada Harvest Festival Parade will take place Saturday, Sept. 10. The route will be on W. 58th Ave. between Ward Rd, and Kipling St. and will begin at 9 a.m., with a planned finish at noon. Get more details and see the parade route map.
