Welcome Back In-Person
We are returning us to us.
10:00 AM
As we begin the new worship year, our 2021 Water Communion service, led by Kathy Swink, welcomes us home to our chapel after 18 months of Covid absence. What do WE want to create as we move forward? What--as individuals--do we want to bring to the whole? Though we're observing safety protocols, our ceremony is sacred, and embodies our return. Bring about an ounce of water and a pen,

From the President...
Message from the President,  9.10.21

We will be gathering in-person in just two days! It will be so good to see all of you who are comfortable joining us.

The Worship Committee has put together a meaningful and lovely Water Communion service to welcome us home. They have worked hard to make our interactions as safe as possible and are following CDC and RIDOH guidelines.

We have also considered UUA recommendations and are following these protocols:
  • Everyone over the age of two is required to wear a mask.
  • Chairs will be arranged so that household pods will be separated by approximately six feet and we ask that congregants try to keep this distance from others as best they can as they move about on Sunday.
  • Though Mike and a few members of the choir will be singing, the congregation will be singing “In our hearts.” I know MY heart is singing as we gather!!
  • We will not be holding a coffee hour but as we finish our service outside in the garden with the children from RE we encourage you to stay and visit with each other outside.

To those who are not comfortable attending because of health concerns, we will be livestreaming the service on Facebook at 10:00 AM and saving it to the UUCSC Facebook page for viewing later. You may need to scroll down to find the video. If you click on the three dots in the right hand corner of the video, you can "turn on notifications for this post" in the drop down box.

I thank everyone who has worked to reopen our building and carry out the business of the church under most challenging circumstances. You are amazing. We are amazing!

Let’s remember that “Love is the Spirit of this Congregation…”  While our gathering may be imperfect, it was created with love every step of the way.

With peace and love in my heart,
Elizabeth Donovan, President
