Virtual Solutions Company Finds a Home in Hartford
During the pandemic, Tashalee Cruz moved her business, Velia’s Virtual Solutions, from The Bronx to Hartford’s West End. "It was the right blend of suburban and urban. It felt like a nice mix of home for me because I still feel and see the urbanness I experienced in the Bronx, but also have the peaceful suburban life I needed. For me, it became a more of an inspiring environment," said Tashalee Cruz, owner of Velia's Virtual Solutions.

Hartford Public Library Grand Opening of Park Street Library
On Saturday, October 2 at the Park Street Library @ the Lyric in Hartford, Hartford Public Library invites the community to a daylong celebration to mark the grand opening of the new library.

The festivities will begin in the morning with art activities at the Art Box (777 Park St.) followed by a parade to the new Park Street Library @ the Lyric (603 Park St.). At the new library there will be live music, food trucks, activities for kids and open access to come inside and tour the brand new space.

Caring People, a licensed home care agency, will hold a Career Fair Thursday, September 30th 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 915 Main Street, Hartford Pratt Street. Our team is growing and we are seeking talented CNAs, PCAs, LPNs & Companions.

FREE on site COVID vaccine will be available (Moderna, Pfizer, and Johnson & Johnson) and will be provided by the Community Health Center.

Parkville Market's Oktoberfest
Enjoy a day of German celebration! Located in Parkville Market's Hall, from 12:00 noon until 4:00 p.m., this event is modeled after the traditional German experience of a large biergarten with polka music, German themed cuisine, Sam Adams and Parkville Market raffle prizes, a Stein Hoisting contest organized by Sam Adams Oktoberfest (the winner will be entered into their National Prize of a trip to Munich to enjoy Oktoberfest 2022) and more!
