Alumni News and Events
What's happening at HF?

There are many activities and events happening this fall at Holy Family! Classes began last week as we welcomed the Class of 2020 to campus. In less than 2 weeks, we will hold the second annual Fall Festival. This includes the return of the Food Truck Festival on Friday, September 16th! In October, the Family Center begins it's fall workshop series while Alumni Quizzo Night takes place in November. Details for these events and more are below.

We are also pleased to present a video featuring a few of our current students- they are sending a big THANK YOU to our donors! Last year, we had 681 alumni donors. We hope to see that number grow during fiscal year 2016-17. Our students appreciate all you do! More info on the Blue and White Fund can be found on our website.

Thanks for staying connected and being part of our community.

FallWorkshopsFree Fall Workshops
The Family Center at Holy Family University is excited to present three new workshops at no cost during the months of October and November, which promote the "Value of Family."  Sessions will take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings.

We will begin with our newest series on Mid-Life Directions.  Our esteemed presenter will lead us through the stages, transitions, growth and development, as well as the variety of spiritual experiences encountered at this time of life.

We continue our Parenting series with sessions planned to assist parents/guardians/caretakers in responding to the contemporary needs of their children in their relationship with their siblings; for discipline that promotes self-esteem and responsibility; in the safe use of technology with parental sensitivity at each stage of development.

Our Living Fully series is designed to appeal to various interests:  healthy aging concepts, practical finances through budgeting; protection from identity theft; and healthy nutrition.

Healthcare Speaker Event
Please join us  Wednesday, September 7 in the ETC auditorium at 11 am as we welcome internationally acclaimed speaker and educator, Kathleen Bartholomew.  Kathleen has been in the nursing profession for over 20 years and has written several books and journal articles on healthcare culture and the hierarchy that separates healthcare professionals.

Ending nurse-to-nurse hostility: Why nurses eat their young and each other examines the complexity and importance of interpersonal relationships among healthcare professionals in the workplace.

Please take a moment to check out Kathleen's website, see the attached document "What is nurse-to-nurse hostility?"and watch her   TED talk.
September Art Exhibit
The Holy Family University Art Gallery is pleased to present the work of Zachary Pritchard during the month of September.

From the artist: "My work explores themes and personal experiences of humor, loss, death, loneliness, and attraction. Working with materials that lend themselves to manipulation, such as paper-mache, plaster, pigmented wax, paints, and metals, my work plays with structural balance and expectations of materials in primarily anthropomorphic forms." Read more about the exhibit at holyfamily.edu.

Exhibit Dates: September 2 - 28
Artist Reception: Wednesday, September 28 from 12:50 pm - 2:50 pm.

The exhibit is free and open to the public. The Gallery is open Monday through Friday, from 8 am - 8 pm.
