Hi ,
GREETINGS, Class of 2026! Welcome to Tulane and the next chapter of your lives. We cannot wait to meet you all and see the many unique skills, ideas, personalities, and stories you bring to the Tulane community.
Countdown to New Student Orientation: 90 DAYS
The Office of New Student & Leadership Programs and the Office of First-Year Experience sends out Navigator E-Newsletters to first-year students beginning in May after students commit to Tulane and throughout the entire first year. From mid-May through Move-In Day, new students will receive a Navigator E-Newsletter every two weeks to assist them with their preparation to arrive on campus in August. These E-Newsletters will contain:
- reminders of upcoming deadlines
- highlights of our New Student Orientation and Fall Welcome programs
- previews of campus involvement opportunities
- advice about preparing for the move to campus in August
Navigator E-Newsletters, just like all official Tulane University communication, will be sent to the student's Tulane email address, so check your inbox and stay in touch with both Team NSLP and Team FYE! There is much to look forward to this year. We are so glad you’re here.

The Office of First-Year Experience
Your First-Year Foundation
The Office of First-Year Experience (FYE) actively encourages the healthy transition of every student to the academic and social communities of Tulane so they are able to thrive, both academically and socially. We serve as a link to the many supportive faculty, staff, peers, and offices awaiting you.
FYE programming promotes campus engagement, interdisciplinary scholarship, relationship building, and exploration of New Orleans. Programs such as the First-Year Seminar, Residential Faculty Mentors, and the Newcomb-Tulane College Reading Project prepare first-year students for the academic expectations and rigor of the university. Peer Mentors provide routine social guidance and support and connect students to campus resources.

The Office of Parent Programs
"Parents as Partners" E-Newsletter
At Tulane, we believe that parents and family members are valuable partners in the work we do to inspire the success of our students. The Office of Parent Programs supports this partnership with a variety of communication resources, campus events, information, and assistance.
The "Parents as Partners" e-newsletter will begin on May 15, 2022 with a special summer series for parents and families of incoming first-year students. These newsletters will continue to be sent on the 1st and 15th of each month until Fall Move-In. Each newsletter will introduce campus resources, provide quick reminders of upcoming deadlines, and offer planning advice. All parents for the incoming class of 2026 will be automatically added to the mailing list using the addresses students supplied in their original admission application. Equity, Diversity & Inclusion
|
|
To become a truly great university – defined by breakthrough discovery, world-class scholarship and transformative personal growth and enrichment – Tulane must be an equitable, diverse and inclusive community that welcomes and supports a diverse array of students, faculty and staff. We must foster an environment where each member of our academic family, particularly our Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and other underrepresented members, are not only supported but are able to thrive. Over the past several years, we have made great progress together, but we know we must do more. Tulane is committed to the advancement of all members of our community.
The university has a variety of initiatives, resources and support mechanisms – you can explore many of them below.
