Would you like to join us in advocating at the Oregon Legislature for some of our most vulnerable students? If so, join us this Friday, Feb. 14, in Salem for "Youth Homelessness Advocacy Day"!
As Oregonians, we care deeply about the most vulnerable, especially Oregon’s children. Yet, Oregon has the highest rate of K-12 homelessness in the country, and the second-highest rate of youth who are homeless and separated from their parents. At Youth Homelessness Advocacy Day, we will hear about proposed legislation that will address youth homelessness. We will also have an opportunity to meet with our elected leaders and urge them to make this issue a priority.
We will begin at 10 a.m. at St. Mark Lutheran Church in Salem. Lunch will be on your own, but snacks and beverages will be provided. There is no fee to attend; donations are welcome.
