My friends, let us begin this week with a prayer to our God who is the source
of all life and love!

Creator/God, you who are the Source of all life and love,
Strengthen all of us in our endeavors to be persons and to see personhood in those around us. Help us to be “sounding through” our similarities, our differences, our passions, and our prejudices, so that we may see in each other a person, not just a character.
Help each of us to take hold of our vocation in life to “sound through” to each other a greater reality than we ourselves fully know. Help all persons, men and women, rich and poor, citizen and immigrant, heterosexual and homosexual, Christian, Jew, Moslem, People of all Religions and people who profess no religion, all who call the Global Village of Earth our home, help all of us to be transparent to one another so that we may better point to you, the Author of Life.
We pray especially for persons, not characters, who still live within their mothers’ wombs, who do not yet have the ability to be fully transparent to us, but to whom we can be fully transparent and to whom we can ensure the chance and opportunity to experience and celebrate your awesome gift of life outside their mothers’ wombs. Help us to be a people who value all life and to treasure in a very special way the life that still lives in the womb.
Loving God, we ask much from you and we ask more this day--May these difficult days in our global village with the pandemic and the social unrest in our country bring us to greater transparency and peace. May the people of Earth turn away from violence, terrorism, and warfare and turn toward greater and greater efforts in diplomacy and international cooperation.
Help us to make the connections between all life issues and to ensure the celebration of life for all people from womb to tomb. Help us, each day, to choose life.
