Good Morning Covenant Families!

Although we were unable to stream a Live Morning Assembly as we had hoped, Dr. Sonju recorded a message about cucumbers, the Appalachian Trail, and grumbling.

Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing
Due to technical difficulties, we do not have a hymn video to include this morning, but we hope your family will still sing Come, Thou Fount of Every Blessing together.
Come, thou Fount of every blessing,
tune my heart to sing thy grace;
streams of mercy, never ceasing,
call for songs of loudest praise.
Teach me some melodious sonnet,
sung by flaming tongues above.
Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it
mount of God's redeeming love.

Here I find my greatest treasure;
hither by thy help I've come;
and I hope, by thy good pleasure,
safely to arrive at home.
Jesus sought me when a stranger,
wandering from the fold of God;
he, to rescue me from danger,
bought me with his precious blood.

Oh, to grace how great a debtor
daily I'm constrained to be!
Let thy goodness, like a fetter,
bind my wandering heart to thee:
prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
prone to leave the God I love;
here's my heart, O take and seal it;
seal it for thy courts above.

Non Nobis
Our Grammar School students normally sing our school song,  Non Nobis  during morning assembly each day. We invite you to sing along with Mr. Maurer this morning!

Non nobis, Domine
non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam

Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name be the glory.
– Psalm 115:1

James Herriot's Treasury for Children

These eight delightful short stories hearken straight from Yorkshire, England. James Herriot describes his life as a country veterinarian through these heartwarming and joyful tales. In the pages you will be introduced to a runaway cow, a "pet" clod-hopper horse, a gadabout cat named Oscar, and the adventures of many more animals and colorful townspeople. The text rolls along like the Yorkshire countryside and is filled with good-humor. The colorful, detailed illustrations add depth and awaken the imagination for each vibrant tale. This collection is a family favorite and my husband's all-time favorite read-aloud. I will be curious to hear which story is your favorite. Enjoy!
