Our Commitment to Communication
Cherry Creek Academy is committed to providing our community with excellent communication during our closure. We will continue to send our community updates via email, on our website , and through our mobile app . You can also view a record of schoolwide emails that have been sent here .

In lieu of our Monday Teacher Letters, our teachers are communicating with students and parents through Google Classrooms and emails.

Dr. Schultz, CCA's Executive Director, is available to answer questions through email and by phone at 920-216-9111.
The 2020 CCA Board Election will begin on Wednesday, May 13, 2020 and will end on Wednesday, May 20, 2020.

There are three open positions on the Board for the 2020 Election. The term for each Board position is three years.

We have streamlined our submittal process and we are utilizing the Google Forms platform.

To submit a Candidate Nomination and Biography form, please click here .
This form is due by April 13, 2020 at 3:00 pm.

In order to better understand the roles and responsibilities of Board candidates please review the Candidate Eligibility Requirements listed below:

  • Potential candidates must attend a minimum of two (2) regular CCA Board meetings during the nine (9) months prior to the April Board meeting.
  • Potential candidates must interview with at least one (1) current Board member prior to the nomination form submittal deadline.
  • Potential candidates must agree to complete all required "Board modules" if elected. They must also agree to abide by the Code of Conduct, Duty of Care and Loyalty and Conflict of Interests policies.
  • Please find these documents here
  • Potential candidates must agree to abide by the CCA Non-Negotiables.
  • CCA staff members and spouses of CCA staff members are not allowed to run for the CCA Board.
  • Only one parent or legal guardian per family may serve on the CCA Board at the same time.
  • In order to be eligible to run for the CCA Board, candidates must have at least one student who is returning to CCA for the 2020-21 school year.
  • In order to be eligible to run for the CCA Board, candidates must have completed and have documented at least 50% of their annual volunteer hours by the time of nomination. If you have questions about your volunteer hours, please contact Chelsea Anderson, CCA's Communications Director, at canderson@cherrycreekacademy.org.

The Election will be held by an electronic ballot. A unique and confidential electronic ballot will be sent to the email address listed in PowerSchool for each parent/guardian.

Social Emotional Wellbeing
Karah Yamauchi, Cherry Creek Academy's Student Support and Peer Helper Advisor, has many social emotional resources available to support our parents and students during this time.

She recommends this article from National Geographic that discusses how to keep up "kid's mental health during coronavirus," and the resources available at The Child Mind Institute like this video that they shared on their social media that encourages flexibility.

YearBook: Order Now
Due to recent events, we have opted to have all the yearbooks sent directly to our students' homes. If you have already purchased a yearbook, your shipping fees will be waived, but you must login to your TreeRing account and add your shipping address. 
 
If you have not yet ordered your yearbook, the shipping fee has been decreased from $7.99 to $2.99, and you will be prompted to enter your shipping address when ordering. 

This year's yearbook features many amazing pictures and captures many highlights from this very memorable year. All yearbooks come with 2 free, optional personalized pages that must be completed by April 2, 2020.

2020-2021 Enrollment
Please complete our online  Enrollment Form   and submit two separate payments to complete your child(ren)'s enrollment for the upcoming school year. 

Enrollment Forms are due no later than today, March 30, 2020 at 6:00 p.m.

Please note, CCSD's Parent Forms will be available in July and families will receive an email from the district with more information over the summer.

Xfinity has announced an Xfinity WiFi Free For Everyone program. Through it, Xfinity hotspots across the country will be available to anyone who needs them for free. Search for a hotspot near you & learn more by visiting  https://wifi.xfinity.com/ .
Breakfast, Lunch, & a Book
CCA students are invited to attend “Breakfast, Lunch and a Book” distributions that are taking place at 11 sites across the district. Distributions will take place Monday through Friday across CCSD. Check the district website for times and locales.
