Vote Alachua Update
March 2021
From the Supervisor

The 2021 City of Gainesville Regular Election has come to a close, and I want to thank everyone who worked so hard through early voting and on Election Day. As I've said so many times before, our office could not do what it does successfully without the many individuals who are committed to providing every Alachua County voter with the best voting experience possible. I truly appreciate you!

I wrote a piece for The Gainesville Sun this month and I hope you'll take a moment to read it. It can be found by clicking here.

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me by email at kbarton@alachuacounty.us or by phone at 352-374-5252.

Respectfully,
Kim A. Barton
Supervisor of Elections
Alachua County

Our office is working with the Florida Department of Health to host a vaccine clinic for election workers in April!

Working during the COVID-19 pandemic, Alachua County's election workers exhibited a stronger than ever commitment to elections in this county, and we are grateful to be able to work on their behalf to make this opportunity available.
From Supervisor Barton:

Your dedication contributes to our success. We could not accomplish what we do here in elections without the important role that each of you play. You are an awesome team and I want you to know that I appreciate the work that you do!"

Last month, a dear friend of the Alachua County Supervisor of Elections Office, Roxanne Watkins, retired after 50 years of service to Alachua County — the first 35 of which were spent at the Supervisor of Elections. We wish you the best in retirement, Roxanne!

The Gainesville Sun recently profiled Roxanne. The story can be read here.
