A Message from Mr. Mihalyo

Dear StMM Families,
While the number of days of school that remain for our Monarchs continues to shrink, the number of events and activities on our campus continues to grow.
Friday is our Spring Festival from 3:00pm until 7:00pm on the fields. It is going to be a hot day! Students with pre-ordered wristbands will be able to dress down at school on Friday. It will be a great afternoon of fun with many bounce houses, games, a dunk tank with teachers, and a candy walk all included with the purchase of a wristband. We can’t wait to see everyone there!
Our PSO is already hard at work mapping out the 2022-23 school year, but they need your help in what you would like to see. I encourage all families to fill out this brief survey to provide our PSO with the feedback they need to make next year amazing for all of our students, teachers, and parents. The link can be found by clicking here.
Thank you to everyone who played in, supported, and organized our 2nd Annual Monarch Masters Golf Tournament! The weather was perfect and the course was in great shape. Everyone had a great time. Make plans and start getting your foursomes ready now to join us next year for our 3rd Annual Monarch Masters, which will take place in May 2023.
Tomorrow our StMM Band will be putting on a concert in the gym at 6:00pm. I had the chance to stop by and hear them rehearsing this morning, and they sounded great. All are invited to attend. Come out and support our wonderful band program tomorrow.
Have a blessed day.
John Mihalyo, Principal

Be sure your Monarch dresses in their team color along with their PE uniform bottoms on their day. Don't forget to bring a water bottle!
We need lots of volunteers to help with field day. Can you help? Please sign up for a time slot by clicking here. If you have already emailed Coach Milmoe about volunteering, thank you so much! Kindly add your name to the sign up genius as well.

Spring Festival This Friday, May 20th, 3:00-7:00pm
The forecast is looking great for the rescheduled Spring Festival this Friday, May 20 from 3:00-7:00pm on the upper field. The ticket link reopened if you're now able to make it - each child will need a wristband ($10), but parents get free admission. Pre-order by Wednesday, May 18th at 11:00pm to get a dress down on Friday! If you previously ordered for last week, all wristbands will be honored and eligible for Friday's dress down. Wristbands will be delivered to homerooms on Friday, and will be held at the check-in table for 8th graders and all new and parish families. Wristbands will also be available at the door for $12 cash per child. Food, drinks, and treats will be available for purchase at the festival as well!
Are you able to lend a hand on Friday afternoon? We need some parent helpers; click here to volunteer.

Parking & Pick Up Information for Friday, May 20th
If you are attending the Spring Festival right after school on Friday, you may park in the school and church parking lots and walk up to the school building to pick up your children in the space in front of the academic building, and then accompany them to the upper field. DO NOT announce your arrival on the app as normal.
Children will be seated outside by grade level. Dismissal times will begin as follows:
- Pre-K will be in front of the building starting at 2:20pm
- Grades K-4 will be in front of the building starting at 2:40pm
- Grade 5-7 will be in front of the building starting at 2:55pm
Please do not ask your children to walk over to the field unaccompanied and meet you.
If you are not attending the Festival or are coming back later, please use the carpool lines entering off Apex Barbeque Rd into the church lot, as usual, to pick up your children. Please use your PikMyKid app as usual. Rather than pulling into the carpool loop at the front of the school, however, cars will pick up using the "island side" of the loop to allow room for walk-up families on the school side.
Pre-K can still use Town Side Drive to enter carpool and should use the middle bay as they do all days if you are not planning to attend the festival. If you are attending the festival, you should park and walk up to pick up your child/ren.

Monarch Masters Winners, Highlights and Thank Yous
Team Crooks strikes again, winning the Monarch Masters for the second year in a row. Congratulations to StMM Golf Team Coach Tim Crooks, Brad Fritsch, Justin Adkins, and John Weaver on the victory! StMM Golf Team member Ethan Yang had the winning junior score, and Golf Team member Cole Pryzwansky won the putting contest for the juniors. Golf Team parent Justin Adkins, who was also part of the winning foursome, won the adult putting contest. As you can see, our StMM Golf Team is top notch!

Congratulations to all the other contest and raffle winners of the day. The PSO especially thanks our sponsors for making the event a success, in particular Southern Peak Brewery (Ken Michalski and Nathan Poissant) and Brueprint Brewing Company (Eric Wagner) for donating drinks so that 100% of the sales proceeds could be returned to the PSO. A full list of sponsors and donors may be found here.
Kevin Machos was, once again, committee chair extraordinaire in organizing and running the event. Thank you also to Joellyn Crooks, Greg Duffy, Brian Jodice and Kevin Scott for putting on another excellent, sold-out tournament! We're on for May 2023!

PSO Activities Poll
It's not too late to cast your vote so incoming PSO President Erin Bonasso knows what sort of activities and events your family would enjoy seeing next school year. There's also room on the form to suggest new events you think our Monarch families would enjoy.
