Intent to Return Due March 11
According to our enrollment policy, K-7th grade families are required to submit an Intent to Return form each Spring to secure a place at WCA the following academic year.

The 2020-21 Intent to Return process is well underway for current K-7 students only. The deadline to submit the form and pay the $200 non-refundable student fee is Wednesday, March 11. Even if your child is not returning, we still need you to submit the form by March 11. Please complete one form per family. Current preschoolers should NOT complete this form.

The student fee required for next year is $200 per student. You may pay by check (made payable to WCA), cash, cashier's check, or online. If you qualify for free and reduced lunch, this fee may be reduced or waived.

IF BOTH THE INTENT TO RETURN FORM AND THE STUDENT FEE ARE NOT SUBMITTED BY MARCH 11, WE CAN NOT GUARANTEE ENROLLMENT FOR NEXT YEAR.

If you have any questions, please call the school office at 303-814-5200.

Science Fair

We are excited for the upcoming Science Fair, on Tuesday, March 10. All students will be able to view the projects throughout the day.  The science fair will then be open in the evening from 6:30-7:30, if any families are interested in attending after school. This is an optional evening time for you to see all students' projects.

Any questions can be directed to Kate Parker at

Spring Fling

Thank you to Charity Bray and the Cougar Committee for hosting a fun Spring Fling last week. 6-8 grade students enjoyed mu sic, dancing, food, friends and a fun photo wall. Shout out to all of the teachers who attended and made this a night to remember!

Theater Updates

I See Stars opens on April 9th and closes April 10th! Tickets go on sale to the general public on March 9th. Tickets sell out fast so make your reservations now! There will also be a free in- school dress rehearsal assembly on Friday April 10th at 1:30 that is open to parents.
Here is the link:

*A few volunteer positions for the musical are still needed. We could use an adult to help with the sound board, a Spotlight operator, and some help with programs. This counts towards volunteer hours.

Choir's concert will be on May 1st. It is still undetermined whether it will be at the school or at Plum Creek Church.

Next year, we are offering a Technical Theater class to all Middle Schoolers. In this class, students will learn the technical elements of a theatrical production such as set design, set building and painting, costume design, stage makeup, lights, and sound. If your student loves hands- on activities and has an interest in the arts but doesn't like to be in the spotlight, this is the class for them!

Career Day

WCA is working to organize a career day on Thursday, April 30th.  We are looking for parent volunteers who are willing to come in to talk to students about their job and career.
  • Primary will learn about what the job is and why it is important to the community.
  • Elementary will learn what the job is and what skills are involved in doing it.
  • Middle school will learn not only about the job, but also the education necessary for the career.
  • If your company or job has any international aspects, we would love to have that involved as well.
We are hoping to have many different professions represented for the students.  The event will be taking place during the school day with different age groups of students filtering through at different times.  If you are interested in volunteering for career day or know someone who might be, please contact Kate Parker.   Please note, depending on the amount of interest, we may not be able to accommodate all volunteers.

Save the Date

Career Day: April 30
As we get closer to April, we will be looking for parent volunteers to share their careers with our students on career day.
