Mission 2022
To Charleston, South Carolina

July 16-24
complete details.
Ballad Health Hospice provides personal care kits for patients being cared for in their homes. First Baptist Church has received a request to help with this ministry. The Mission Team is going to coordinate the collection of the kits. Bags containing a list of suggested items will be available on June 5. The bags need to be returned to the church by June 26. A box will be placed in the hallway between the church office and the CLC.
We plan to walk on Mondays and Wednesdays (weather permitting) from 5:30-6:30 p.m. at Sugar Hollow Park. Sugar Hollow caters to many abilities by offering a handicap-accessible path and uphill trails for those seeking a more intense walk. It also has a children's playground that can be seen from one of the walking paths. On the rare occasion that one of the facilitators can't be there, the group is encouraged to still walk. The dates of the Together for Hope fundraiser are May 15-August 15. The fundraiser costs $32.74. We have registered and created a "Move Group Bristol TN/VA." If you can't make the Move Group, please consider participating in the virtual event or sponsoring someone else.
The Move group will be using Telegram to communicate.
There is an On the Move Facebook group that participants can join.
Blessing Box
The blessing box is an ongoing project of First Baptist Bristol. You are welcome to drop off supplies to the church or restock the blessing box on your own. All types of nutritious foods and water bottles are needed. Cans with tab openings are preferred. Additional plastic utensils are not needed.
