CAMPBELL RIVER: Bob Bray is pleased to announce that the final weekly endorsement, by paid-up members of the Social Mavrik Federation for leader of the Conservative Party of Canada, goes to Leslyn Lewis plus Derek Sloan, and is happy to refer to them as Parental Bill of Rights Lewis and Stop Child Sex Change Sloan .
Week 12: Parental Bill of Rights Lewis
On July 23 Leslyn Lewis, in an email to each Conservative Party member, wrote:
"Parents in Canada have a right to raise their children in accordance with their beliefs, free from government interference.

The Canada that I grew up in was one where people had different opinions and weren’t afraid to share them. We believed different things about God, about family, about every topic under the sun. And we were free to believe and discuss them.

The last 5 years we have witnessed a rapid decline in our fundamental rights, including the rights to raise our children in accordance with our beliefs.

As Prime Minister, I won’t just stop government encroachment on Canadian families rights: I will enshrine them in a Parental Bill of Rights.

You should not be afraid that someone will report on you for having a difficult conversation with your children.

You should not be afraid of having conversations with your child about something they learned at school.

As well meaning as any public official or teacher might be, nobody will ever be able to love your children as much as you do."
Week 12: Stop Child Sex Change Sloan
On July 16, Derek Sloan wrote:
"There is evidence suggesting that psychologically and emotionally vulnerable children are identifying as “transgender” at enormously disproportionate rates, and that children in foster care identify as such at a rate 15 to 20 times higher than children not in foster care.

There is also evidence suggesting that “transgender science” is tainted with pharmaceutical industry conflicts of interest and that the most vulnerable of Canadian youth are being pressured into identifying as “transgender” and subjected to a regimen of drugs that are permanently sterilizing them and causing irreversible damage to their bodies and their lives.

Vulnerable Canadian children (including a disproportionate number of those diagnosed with autism), who have no one to speak up for them, deserve better.

There should be a moratorium on this practice, at least until an inquiry can be completed to ensure that there are no conflicts of interest with pharmaceutical companies or any other entities present in this process.

I am the only CPC leadership candidate who is prepared to stand up against radical gender ideology and defend parental sovereignty and the integrity of the Canadian family. I will oppose Bill C-8, I will ban sex-change treatments for minors, and I will repeal Bill C-16, which enshrined radical gender ideology in Canadian law.

There are many other voices that are being raised against these related issues: some of them are parental rights advocates, some of them are libertarians concerned about free speech, and some are left-liberals such as J.K. Rowling. Jenn Smith is a transgender activist who has started an important online petition that calls for a National Inquiry into the mass medical gender transitioning/“sex reassignment” of vulnerable and at-risk children and adolescents in Canada.

As a Member of Parliament, I’m pleased to be able to sponsor Jenn Smith’s petition, and I look forward to presenting it to my colleagues in the House of Commons. This touches on an issue of justice that cuts across political lines.

Please note that, although Jenn's petition was started by the good people of Abbotsford, B.C., it is open to all Canadians to sign.

I urge you to sign the petition , too."

Current mem bers of the Social Mavrik Federation give this week's endorsement on a 50/50 basis to Cancel Nuctech Lewis and Block Huawei Sloan for leadership of the Conservative Party of Canada.

Membership in the Social Mavrik Federation
The Social Mavrik Federation is a non-profit society registered in British Columbia. It is transparently guided by a majority of its members. Last year It focused on cultural politics by organizing a legislative petition to allow the voluntary formation of 20 charter schools. Participation by the Federation in electoral politics is limited to endorsing candidates in a variety of jurisdictions.

Right after its registration in May of 2019 the Federation launched a petition for charter schools. From September to November the Federation issued 12 weekly announcements to recruit canvassers while describing its innovative method for signing an Elections BC petition at home..

Then in late November and all of December 2019 with a school strike in Saanich, British Columbia and one looming for all of Ontario, 6 announcements were issued to begin a "push back" campaign.

A link to each of these 18 announcements is listed in our 2019 archives.

Continuing that campaign in 2020, from January through March, the Federation issued 10 more weekly announcements to push back against educational instability caused by the teacher strike in Ontario and the planned teacher strike in Saskatchewan. The threatened teacher strike in British Columbia was avoided this time around during the management of the coronavirus. To be a positive voice, an additional delivery channel for the K-12 school sector was offered by promoting the educational stability of public charter schools.

Recently in 2020, from May to July, the Federation issued 12 announcements in its weekly endorsement campaign for the Canadian Conservative leadership race.

A link to each of these 22 announcements is listed in our 2020 archives.

The "Mavrik" part of our name is defined on page 1 of the membership application form. The "Social" part of our name symbolizes our support for the family and rejection of identity politics and cancel culture. It is further explained on page 2 of the membership application form.

Statistics about our current four members can be seen here.

The Federation's weekly endorsement campaign has run its course.
