Please join us in praying for our congregation, community, and mission of the church as we seek to live out God’s call for the people of Faith United in 2021.
Our Spiritual formation team will be creating monthly church prayers this year. We invite you to print this prayer and keep it somewhere you see often as a reminder to pray for your church family.
This month’s prayer, written by Barb Rich, is all-encompassing for our congregation as we begin our 65th year in ministry.

A star word is a word of intention, rooted in the spiritual practices of the desert mothers and fathers who would seek a word to reflect on for the coming year.
Text or email Kathy Schmucker (330-224-6138) a number between 1-150. She will reply with your star word and suggestions on how to use it in your daily prayers. In addition to choosing your own word, you may also want to choose a word to pray over for your children, spouse, or other loved ones.

Dear Faith United,
Thank you so much for your support of Faith Kitchen and Defying Gravity stewardship outreach ministries. Your generosity has reached many families who have been hit exponentially hard during this pandemic.
Since the pandemic hit last March, Faith Kitchen has been providing lunch and a grab and go food pantry thanks to the many volunteers and generous contributions to the Faith Kitchen Ministry. We are seeing so many new families in need of assistance. They continue to express their deep appreciation for this ministry.
For the month of February, we would like to give 'baking bags' to each family. While the food bank is a tremendous resource for us, there are some items that we need to purchase or have donated to support the needs of families. This is one way we can continue to help.
Again, we truly appreciate all of the ways you continue to support our community outreach ministries.
Most sincerely appreciated,
Teresa Purses - Faith Kitchen volunteer

Pennies for Paraguay Update
Thanks to your generosity, we have enough money to support five students for the 2021 school year at New Horizon United Methodist School in Paraguay. In previous years we supported seven students, but two graduated this past year.
In order to get back to supporting seven students, we need an additional $960 by the end of January. If you would like to help us reach this goal, write your check to the church with Pennies for Paraguay on the memo line. Many students and their families are really struggling because of the pandemic. Having help with school fees can be a true blessing.
