Mock SAT and ACT | April 11
Hello Edison Parents,
The College Board and ACT, Inc. have suspended their administration of the SAT and ACT until the summer in response to COVID-19, however, this is a great time to practice for these tests to be prepared when they resume. 
Applerouth Tutoring Services will be holding a Mock SAT and ACT on April 11th  online  to benefit the Edison PTSA ($15). You will be able to take a full-length mock exam with a proctor and fellow Edison students online at home.

Senior Scholarships | May 17
The EHS PTSA is pleased to offer four (4) $500 scholarships to graduating seniors from the Class of 2020.

The intent in awarding a PTSA scholarship is to recognize Thomas Edison High School students who have demonstrated good citizenship through volunteer service in the school and community, or academic achievement through individual determination.

The scholarship is intended to support continuation of their education at a two- or four-year college, university or trade school.

Application deadline is: May 17

Join Edison PTSA Executive Board


Edison PTSA is looking for a few good parents, teachers and students to serve on the Edison PTSA Board as an officer or committee chair for the 2020-21 school year. If interested, please send an email indicating your preferred role to nominations@edisonhsptsa.org .


All talents, skill levels and levels of commitment are welcome. Currently President-Elect, VP Membership, VP Communication, Treasurer and Secretary are OPEN.

Training is also available at no cost to volunteers.

Talking to Your Student About COVID-19
How do I talk to my child about the Coronavirus?

Children, as well as adults, are likely to experience anxiety in this uncertain time. Several resources have been created by leading mental health experts on how to have age-appropriate, fact-based and reassuring conversations with you children about the outbreak and the steps they can take to stay healthy.

Where can I go for information on the Coronavirus and its impact on education and children?

There are several resources available for parents about the Coronavirus. The  U.S. Department of Education (ED)  has resources to assist education leaders in protecting student privacy and ensuring students with disabilities continue to receive services required under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) during school closures due to the outbreak.
