Learning to LEED

Just recently we learned that the student-union building at North Carolina State University received the Marquee Green Building Award from the USGBC Chapters for NC and SC. The  Talley Student Union  received this honor at the USGBC Sustainable Business Awards ceremony held in December.

The Talley Student Union holds two Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifications: Building Design and Construction (2015) and Operations and Maintenance (2018).

What’s most impressive is the University involved the students in the pursuit of the Operations and Maintenance LEED certification.
