Celebrate the Sanctity of Life
Message from Gina...

Options@328 officially opened its doors last October. Let’s call it a soft opening: no promotion, no Google Ads and COVID challenges. Each day we gain a better understanding of how we can most effectively serve our clients. I think it’s important to share some numbers so you can get a picture of the activity in the last 90 days.
  • There have been 48 appointments.
  • We provided 28 pregnancy tests--23 positive and 5 negative.
  • We performed 20 sonograms.
  • Two women called from Planned Parenthood's waiting room and then visited us.
  • Six women were directed to us by Howard St. sidewalk counselors.
  • Two women were referred for abortion pill reversal.
  • Two women were referred for post-abortion counseling.
  • Twenty eight women were willing to allow us to share the Gospel.

The signs on the building have helped women contact our Helpline. Word of mouth has started. Past CPC moms in crisis are visiting us at Options@328 and, even with a limited presence, the internet has helped women find us. We have seen women from metropolitan Baltimore zip codes, from southern MD, west to Frederick, and even PA.

Our urban environment is challenging. We are learning what hours we should and should not be open. We shift our staffing to meet the daily, changing needs of our clients. Women in crisis are looking for immediate answers, so Options@328 has medical staff on site 5 days a week. We follow up with every woman we see; sometimes they talk to us and sometimes they don’t pick up.

In the near future, we will increase our virtual visibility through Google Ads. We know this will help reach additional women. We will be prepared. God has placed Options@328 on one of the darkest corners of Baltimore and we will shine the light of life.

Many of our churches and donors are interested in seeing our new location. We have conducted 19 tours. Please contact me if you would like to schedule a visit.

Thank you for being part of our mission and helping to cultivate a culture of life.
Many thanks,
Gina
A Family Finds Support
We usually share news about our mothers, but this time we want to tell you about a special client who called our Helpline: an elderly gentleman looking for help for his son and daughter-in-law. They had received devastating news regarding their unborn child. Their child was diagnosed with a fatal congenital disorder. The doctors advised them to abort. This family was under an unimaginable amount of stress that included much more than the terrible diagnosis. The grandfather was devastated and he didn't know what to do. He asked us to speak to his son. When his son called we mostly listened and prayed with him.

How can CPC help someone in this situation? Most importantly, we pray for them. We also know about organizations that offer help and support to families facing a severe or fatal prenatal diagnosis. We'd like to share them here for families in similar circumstances. These pro-life ministries can make a difference to a family in these heartbreaking situations.

What was amazing about this call was that the grandfather lives in another state, did not live in the same state as his son and did not own a computer! We asked how they found our number. The son said he thinks his dad was given the number by a pastor he had spoken with. However God lead this family to CPC, we pray that they find the love and support they need and we were gratified to be able to offer resources. Please say a special prayer for this family.
Honor the Sanctity of Life

On January 22, 1984, the 11th anniversary of Roe v Wade, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation creating the first national Sanctity of Human Life Day. It is even more important today to remember the loss of more than 57 million unborn children since 1973 and to celebrate the precious gift of life. Please focus your prayers on the value of human life not just this month but all year.

“We have been given the precious gift of human life, made more precious still by our births in or pilgrimages to a land of freedom. It is fitting, then, on the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe v. Wade that struck down State anti-abortion laws, that we reflect anew on these blessings, and on our corresponding responsibility to guard with care the lives and freedoms of even the weakest of our fellow human beings.”

VIRTUAL BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN
In past years, to support CPC, many churches organized Baby Bottle Campaigns during Lent or around Mothers Day and Fathers Day. Like so many things, this year is different. Many people are not able to attend church, there is a shortage of change and there are concerns around handling bottles due to COVID contamination. There is a solution! Your church can sponsor a Virtual Baby Bottle Campaign! For details please call Gretchen at 443-834-6715 or email at gretchen@centerforpregnancyconcerns.org.
