SchoolSeed & SCS are partnering to present "Envisioning Equity in Education" with Dr. John Marshall.
In alignment with the District's African American Male Empowerment init
iative, Dr. Marshall will be leading a session for educators, school/District staff and community members on Feb. 20 at the TLA. Dr. Marshall of Jefferson County Public Schools is one of few chief equity officers in the nation - a job designed to ask uncomfortable questions about why some groups of students struggle when others thrive. Marshall does this with conviction—though not always with the utmost diplomacy—in Louisville, a city with a history of confronting racial inequities in its schools. Register now to attend and hear Dr. Marshall's story, his triumphs and his lessons learned.
