Are You Prepared For Winter?
Winter seems to be over but are you prepared if it would snow ? In order to help clear our streets faster, please do the following to be prepared:
- Clear the left of your driveway - This will prevent you from shoveling twice.
- Remove all obstructions in the road - Basketball hoops, garbage cans, and cars hinder plowing and will delay the clearing of your street.
- Secure your mailbox - Shake your mailbox to make sure it is connected properly.
- Clear hydrants - Help us find hydrants buried by snow, but clearing 3 feet around each one near your home.
- Don't tailgate - Don't follow vehicles too closely, especially snowplow trucks.

Curative Amendment Hearing Continued
In 2019, East Allen Township was served a Curative Amendment by Rock Lehigh Valley LLC. regarding a parcel located along Weaversville Road. The petition "Rock" alleges that East Allen Township's Zoning Ordinance is flawed and therefore a Curative Amendment was served to "cure" the flaw.
On Monday, January 27, 2020 and Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 7 PM, the first two hearings were held at the Allen Township Fire Company located at 3530 Howertown Rd, Northampton, PA 18067. The hearing was continued until March 30, 2020 at 7 PM and will be held at the same location.
For more information, please click the link below to view the public notice or get directions to the hearing.
