CLICK HERE for the latest updates to library services.

As a reminder:
  • The due dates for any items that are currently checked out have been extended to May 1st. Please keep any borrowed materials at this time.
  • At this time we are waiving overdue fees due to COVID 19.
  • You may continue to place items on hold but physical items will not be available for pick up until libraries are open to the public again. Current items on hold will be held through April 15th to allow time for pick up after the library reopens.
Online Resources

Homework HelpNow
The library has free online help with homework that is just a mouse click away when you sign in with your library card and PIN. HelpNow provides online tutoring for kids in grades K-12 and college every day from 1pm - 11pm (excluding holidays). HelpNow does require a library card.

BookFlix
From Ms Blanca:   Bookflix is an online eBook service available for families and early readers when you sign in with your library card and PIN. It pairs animated fiction stories with a nonfiction eBook from Scholastic to expose little learners to real word ideas. Some of them are offered in Spanish! My three favorite bi-lingual pairings:
  • How do dinosaurs eat their food? & This is the way we eat our food
  • Zin! Zin! Zin! a Violin & All about sound
  • Harry the dirty dog & Keeping clean
Need a Library Card?
Don't have a library card to access online resources?* Fill out our new online form to register for a library card. Staff will process your information and email you your library barcode number and PIN when it's ready.

*Handy tip - If your child is a student at Shakopee or Burnsville Eagan Savage Public Schools, they already have a virtual card - more information HERE.
Virtual Programming
Puppy Pajama-jama Storytime: Cozy up in your pajamas and join Lulu (and Ms. Britt from the Belle Plaine and Jordan libraries) for a silly pajama storytime to get you and your little ones settled down for the night. Runtime: 5min

This video will be active until Monday, March 30th.

Online Book Scavenger Hunts: The library is busy creating online scavenger hunts tied to picture books. Here is one for Arnie the Doughnut

2020 Spring Reading Challenge: Complete the 3000-page challenge (ages 6-Adult) or 300-book challenge (ages 0-6) to earn swag. Register and track your reading using Beanstack

You only need one Beanstack account per family. If you've participated with our Online Summer Spotlight or Winter Reads programs, you've created an account.
