The above quote was posted online recently and it beautifully reflects our new reality in the age of COVID-19. We appreciate your patience as we pivot to adjust to our new 'normal' and prepare to lead down an uncharted path.
While we are not currently collecting tuition, our school has committed to continuing to pay staff. As a non-profit organization, any donations toward that effort are greatly appreciated. Contact FUMCD Finance Director, Sharon Karger at

Our staff will connect with you and your student in new ways beginning the week of 3/30/2020. Here's how we will keep the learning going:
- Emails from the teachers on your regular class day outlining fun learning activities at home and details about online video content
- Private Facebook Groups to watch video lessons from the teachers and connect with other parents
- Quick weekly phone calls to say hello, make sure your family is well, and answer questions regarding your child's learning
Our staff is working hard to change what they would be teaching in our classrooms to things you can do at home with your child. Please note the following:
- Teachers will be contacting all of their students weekly. Please keep your conversations short, 5 minutes or less.
- Teachers are not available for additional phone or video calls. Many of our staff are also teaching their own children at home while working and planning to teach your child. Please be respectful of their time.
- Teachers will respond to emails and phone calls during school hours.
- We look forward to interacting with you on Facebook. However, per page 9 of our handbook, FMS staff will not accept friend requests from parents on social media. Please do not send them friend requests.
- Teachers do not have access to Brightwheel at this time. Please use their email and phone numbers to contact them.
