Following the cancellation of the Midwest Dental Conference, all associated in-person KDA business meetings ( KDA Councils, Committees, Board of Trustees, and Annual Meeting of the General Assembly) will now be held in a virtual meeting format.

The 149th Annual Meeting of the Kansas Dental Association General Assembly will convene online, as follows:

The agenda of the KDA General Membership Assembly includes three proposed amendments (below):

Amendment #1
An increase in full Active dues from $585 to $605.

Amendment #2
A modification in the new graduate to full active phase in from five to three years.

Amendment #3
Continuing the current dues assessment in the 2021 dues year for a special advocacy fund.

The bylaw amendments will require a 2/3 majority vote of those present for adoption.
PROPOSED AMENDMENT #1

Dues change
 
A. ACTIVE MEMBER. The dues of an active member shall be five hundred eighty-five six hundred five dollars ($585.00) ($605.00) due January 1 of each calendar year.
  •   The payment of dues for the first five years following graduation shall be as below conditioned on the maintenance of continuous membership or payment of reduced dues for the years not previously paid.
  • The year of graduation and first full calendar year after graduation-no dues payable;
  • Second year 25% of active membership dues;
  • Third year 50% of active membership dues;
  • Fourth year 75% active membership dues
  • Fifth year-full active membership dues
B. ACTIVE LIFE MEMBER. The dues of an active life member shall be 75 percent (75%) of active member dues.

L. In addition to the dues outlined above, members shall be assessed an additional dues amount for the 2021 dues year based on ADA membership dues categories as follows:
