Vacation Bible School is in Action
VBS families are having awesome fun with their VBS Staycation. Activity bags, a music sound track, a daily Bible Lesson video of fun and learning (with Professor Pickles, Jessica, Mindy, Janet, Rich, and others) and a daily "Energizer" with our Youth dance group! All are learning that "Awesome are your feet...they PRAY with Jesus!" We'll share more next week in the Newsletter about the week.

Staff News
Jessica Shanks will be on vacation next week (following a week of awesome VBS!). For anyone who wants to visit the office on Wed, July 29, Caroline Starnes will be there from 11 AM to 4 PM.
Jacqueline Howells will be on vacation the week of Aug 10. Pastor Rev. Ewing will be away and Caroline East will preach on Sun, Aug 9.

Christmas in July?!?
Hello everyone! There’s approximately 160 days until Christmas - and many of us have the time and opportunity to craft, create, paint, sew, wood work, etc… while we are hanging around home!
Yes, we’re talking about the Avondale Christmas Marketplace! A "rolling" market is envisioned that would feature 3-4 vendors a week for 5 weeks leading up to Dec 5, 2020. Are you interested in participating this year? We would like to hear from you by Sat, Aug 1, 2020 so that we can begin making plans. We have so many talented Avondalers! It is with deep sadness that we share that Ms. Rachel Caudle, mother of Olivia Magee, joined the Church Triumphant Friday, July 10, 2020. Rachel has been a familiar face and friend of Avondale for many years and most recently after her move to Charlotte.

Church Triumphant
It is with deep sadness that we share that Mr. Wallace Litchfield "Chip" Reed joined the Church Triumphant Saturday, July 4, 2020. Chip and his wife Caroline were active and faithful members of Avondale before moving to the Charleston, SC area several years ago. Arrangements for a celebration of life will be shared once available.
