Notice Poster and Hall Pass - Families First Coronavirus Response Act    

 

Yesterday, the Department of Labor issued a notice poster for employers to display pursuant to the new paid sick leave requirements under the Families First Coronavirus Response Act. The poster is available via the Department of Labor's website and can be downloaded here.  The DOL also provides answers to frequently asked questions about the posting requirement here. 

 

As we mentioned in our prior e-blast on the new paid sick leave requirements, all employers with fewer than 500 employees must display this poster in a conspicuous place in the employer's main office. Since many employees are teleworking and are working out of the office, the Department of Labor is allowing employers to satisfy this notice requirement by emailing or direct mailing this notice to employees or posting this notice on an employee information internal or external website. To satisfy the posting requirements, we recommend construction contractors send out an email this week with the poster to all current employees and, when possible, post the poster where all other required notices are customarily kept .
