The Spokane River Forum is a non-partisan, non-profit organization that creates materials, events and activities that promote sustaining a healthy river system while meeting the needs of a growing population.
From wildfires to farms, our stewardship practices are critical to a healthy Spokane River and surrounding waterways. Here are a couple things you can do to make a positive difference.
Schedule a FREE Firewise Risk Assessment
Spokane County landowners are eligible to receive a free Firewise Risk Assessment. A Spokane Conservation District forester will visit your home and leave you with a list of practical ways to reduce your wildfire risk.
A new way to buy locally grown farm products is taking root in Spokane. Go to the
South Spokane Farm Corridor web site to map out a short drive to farm stands selling products in the open air. Each farm is independently operated, collectively offering a variety of products such as grass-fed beef, pork, fresh flowers, local honey, nursery plants, eggs and a variety of produce.
The Spokane Conservation District provides Corridor farmers technical assistance to help assure strong conservation and sustainable practices. Locally grown food for you, cleaner waters for all.
