Kindergarten Readiness Bags!
This is our third year preparing 1,157 Kindergarten Readiness Bags for our Charlotte County families. The kiddos are going to be over the moon when they get these bright yellow bags filled with goodies, and parents will have more tools for engagement.Thanks to Rotary, Charlotte Community Foundation, and The Patterson Foundation for sponsoring this project. Community Impact Panel Training
On January 22, 80 volunteers began the 2020 funding panels. February will be a busy month for these volunteers with 24 agency presentations over 12 days. We rely heavily on our panels to make these tough funding decisions. Thank you to our sponsors Florida SouthWestern State College and Charlotte Harbor Event & Conference Center.

4th Annual Lunch Inspires Sold-out Crowd
On Tuesday, January 28, 2020 we celebrated our Woman of Distinction, Diane Ramseyer and Woman of Courage Elizabeth Sides. Stacey Deffenbaugh Meyer, Anchor from the Alert Center during NBC2 News was our Guest Emcee and moderated the panel which represented the UWCC funded Kids Thrive Community Collaboration. The panel shared the Women United platform this year which is empowering mothers to raise healthy children. Over 110 guests were inspired with moving and personal stories.
