We are 1/3 of the way through session and there are over 2,600 bills introduced to date!
Friday, February 7th was House Bill Introduction Day. Any bills introduced will now be referred to the House Rules and Executive Nominations Committee and require a 2/3 vote to be returned to the floor.
Last week, Governor Hogan gave the State of the State Address. In his address, he highlighted the Retirement Reduction Act of 2020, Bay Restoration, and fully funding recommendations of the Kirwin Commission without raising taxes. Governor Hogan also emphasized the work necessary to address crime in Baltimore City, and the importance of rebuilding America's infrastructure.
