The TEA just issued guidance that schools are allowed to continue mandating mask wearing. Meridian will continue to require masks on campus, based upon safety guidelines from the CDC.
Equity at Meridian

We welcome your feedback on the draft of our equity vision statement to guide our work through the upcoming years.

  • Share your thoughts in a conversation on Thursday, March 11 from 5:30–6:30 pm via Zoom
  • Meeting ID: 883 8889 7224
  • Passcode: 216485
  • Submit your thoughts regarding our Equity Vision Statement draft by March 22.

We are also proud to share the video our Meridian choir made in honor of Black History Month. Students, staff, parents, and alumni sang, "Lift Every Voice and Sing," known as the Black National Anthem. We shared the video and why the song means so much to those who worked on it during student assemblies last week.
Asynchronous Day Friday, March 5

The next asynchronous learning day is this Friday, March 5. There will be no live Zoom classes on that day. We ask that students stay home where possible to give our teachers a chance to plan for upcoming lessons and work on ongoing professional development.

If your child needs to be on campus that day, please complete this form by 8 am Thursday, March 4 for each child who requires on-campus supervision.
March Mammal Madness gives families chance for Tournament Fun

Ms. Reihman, 7th Grade Science teacher, invites Meridian families to join in March Mammal Madness. While 64 species come into the tournament, only one emerges as champion! Will you choose the winners? Fill out your brackets and post to Padlet before March 7 to be considered. Read more.
Mask and Sock Fundraiser ends March 7
Meridian School is excited to partner with We Help Two to sell custom Meridian mask packs and funky socks. Order through through Sunday, March 7.

The masks come in a pack of 3 for $20 and proceeds from the mask sales go toward next year’s 8th/9th grade field trip. The masks will be delivered to your child at school or available for pick-up for distance learners after spring break.

Funky socks ship directly to your house, and proceeds provide money and supplies for children to attend school in Uganda. Packs include three pairs of socks for $12.
